There are definitely certain foods which those are of the Jewish faith are allowed to eat and those which they are not, and snake meat falls under the latter category. Some of the other similar types of organisms which are not considered to be kosher include shrimp, catfish, frog, crab, octopus, oyster, snail, and sturgeon.
Typically when one goes to a kosher butcher in their area, they are offered the same types of meats, usually consisting of lamb, beef, and chicken. Snakes are most definitely considered to be a non-kosher food for those who strictly follow the religion of Judaism.
