Generally, most domesticated cats are friendly and make wonderful pets, but it really just depends on the specific cat and his or her temperament. A number of things can determine a cat’s attitude. A few things that can have an effect on whether or not a cat is friendly include:
- How he or she was raised
- Environmental factors
- Health factors (disease, conditions, parasites, old age etc.)
- How the cat is being treated by the individuals around it.
- The cat’s past
- Traumatic events that have happened during a cat’s life
- Neglect, abuse, or being ill, etc.
