The Jamaican owl which is also known as Pseudoscops grammicus, is extremely common in many parts of this country and is medium-sized with a dark brown color with streaks all over its body. These owls tend to reside high above the ground in trees, laying their eggs deep within the holes of trees.
Typically the average Jamaican owl eats birds, lizards, spiders, and many other types of insects. Owls are commonly found in many different places across the world and Jamaica is no exception. You will find that even in Jamaica though, these owls are classified as being endangered.
